Leprechaun Academy - dogs

Todays blog reporter is Courtney. We had fun pretending to be dogs and showing off our puppy dog tails. Colleen made puppy chow for all the kids to take home!

It looks like everyone had a fun day. I was sad that I missed it. I hope that the kids liked the pictures that i made and the dog bone art project.

The theme was dogs today and it was a fun lesson to plan. The kids were very loud and excited today. They did not want to sit still. Alissa did an excellent job with the circle discussion. She asked the kids if any of them had dogs and different things that you can do with dogs. Alissa showed pictures of dogs that Katie made and the kids really enjoyed them. Sarah read a book about a puppy and she asked Jude to name it. Molly led us in a "Poodle in a Fuddle". Mary and Janie participated very well and did all the designated movements. Colleen explained the art project to us, which was dipping dog bones in paint and pressing them onto construction paper. Jude only wanted to paint with blue paint. Some of the kids managed to get more paint on themselves than on the paper. Kara played "Simon Says" with the kids, but she gave commands that dogs would do. For example: sit, roll over, dig for your bone, wag your tail, etc. Colleen brought puppy chow for all the kids to take home with them and they all got a dogs tail to wear home. My favorite part of the day was watching the kids wag their "tails".

I thought the kids had a fun time today. I think they liked the simon says the most. They were a little roughty during the song and some of them weren't paying attention but besides that I think they loved it.

Playing Dog Simon Says with the kids was so funny they were really getting into it. It was hard to think of more thngs that a dog did. I think my favorite was "wag your tail," they all really seemed to think that was fin to do and it seemed like everyone else really enjoyed wathing them.

All the children looked they really enjoyed today's lesson plan. When I even asked my child she said what kind of dog hers was and if she saw a picture of her dog today. She really enjoyed receiving the "puppy chow" at the end she felt so special! The teaching group did a wonderful job at organization! The children were so excited, they would all talk at once. But the head teacher handled it well.
Good job to everyone!

The kids were really loud and obnoxious today, but we had a lot of fun. The paint got all over during the art project and Caylee and Maya had a whole lot of fun with the paint and dog bones. It was the first time I think I've seen them be outgoing. Katie's Little Leprechaun had a lot of fun with the Simon Says! He was the funniest to watch. Mary was very good with saying what kind of dogs there were in the discussion! It was a really fun day!

I think the kids seemed like they really enjoyed the class today. They were very enthusiastic at the discussion and during the game. It was so much fun to watch them having so much fun. I know that J had alot of fun he kept talking about his dog and how he wanted him to come in.

The child really seemed to enjoy this theme. When it came time to do the art project, they managed to get more paint everywhere except for the paper. I did notice that Sarah did a great job with this project. The "Simon Says" game was a blast. I was really glad to see that all of the children were excited to receive their bag of puppy chow. Today was a good day overall.
